Food Pantry Report April 26, 2024

Over the week ending with 22 April, we received approximately 3.39 tons of non-perishable food, and gave out some 3.74 tons and about the same amount of perishable food to 384 families.


Shortages for the next two distributions (projecting 400 families each week): (1) pasta (short approx. 593 boxes), (2) canned beans (short c. 513 cans), (3) dry unsweetened cereal/oatmeal (sort c.442 boxes), (4) pasta sauce (short approx. 476 bottles/ cans), (5) tuna/canned meat/canned fish (short c. 417 cans), (6) canned soup, (7) canned vegetables, (8) canned fruit, (9) “meals in a can” (stew, canned pasta, chili, etc.), (10) dry rice/beans, and (11) mac&cheese.


We also need: Similac Blue and Similac Orange baby formula, and/or domestic or foreign equivalents/substitutes. Diapers No. 1, 3, 5 and 6, baby wipes, and Pediasure, and adult diapers “Depends” sizes medium and large. With thanks for a recent very large donation of the same, please hold off for the time being on any donation of extra large adult diapers/Depends.


–Paper grocery bags (Wegmans, Trader Joe, or Lidl size) and plastic newspaper bags and plastic grocery bags are always needed.
