Food Pantry Report - June 22, 2024

Updated: Jul 5

Over the week ending with 17 June, we received approximately 4.17 tons of non-perishable food, and gave out some 3.95 tons and somewhat less perishable food to 406 families. (Due to donation shortfalls -- see below, each family received two items less of non-perishable food than our normal distribution target.)

Shortages for the next two distributions (projecting 390 families for each week): (1) canned vegetables (short approx. 633 cans), (2) canned soup (short approx. 523 cans), (3) oatmeal/cereal (short c.495 boxes), (4) pasta sauce (short c.456 bottles/cans), (5) pasta (short approx. 435 boxes), (6) mac & cheese (short approx. 380 boxes), (7) tuna/canned meat/canned fish (short c. 325 cans), (8) “meals in a can” (stew, canned pasta, chili, etc. - short c. 300 cans), (9) canned fruit (short c. 263 cans), (10) dry rice/beans (short c.209 pounds), and (11) canned beans (short c. 55 cans).

We also need: Similac Blue and Similac Orange baby formula, and/or domestic or foreign equivalents/substitutes, Nos. 4. 5 and 6 diapers, baby wipes, Pediasure, Ensure, and adult diapers/ Depends sizes small, medium and extra-large. With thanks for a recent very large donation of the same, please hold off for the time being on any donation of size large adult diapers/Depends.

With thanks to Wegmans for a recent large donation of paper grocery bags , these (Wegmans or Trader Joe or Lidl size) as well as plastic grocery bags and plastic newspaper bags are always needed.

May God bless you for all your help for our work!
