Food Pantry report - May 18, 2024

Over the week ending with 13 May, we received approximately 3.41 tons of non-perishable food, and gave out some 3.7 tons and about the same amount of perishable food to 380 families.


Shortages for the next two distributions (projecting 390 families each week): (1) canned soup (short approx. 908 cans), (2) “meals in a can” (stew, canned pasta, chili, etc.) (short c. 563 cans), (3) canned vegetables (short approx. 495 cans), (4) pasta (short approx. 481 boxes), (5) pasta sauce (short approx. 480 bottles/cans), (6) canned fruit (short c. 375 cans), (7) canned beans (short c. 358 cans), (8) tuna/canned meat/canned fish (short c. 350 cans), (9) dry rice/beans (short c.316 pounds), (10) oatmeal (sort c.174 boxes), and (11) mac & cheese (short approx. 60 boxes).


We also need: Similac Blue and Similac Orange baby formula, and/or domestic or foreign equivalents/substitutes, Nos. 4. 5 and 6 diapers, baby wipes, and Pediasure, and adult diapers/ Depends sizes small, medium and large. With thanks for a recent very large donation of the same, please hold off for the time being on any donation of extra-large adult diapers/ Depends.


Paper grocery bags (Wegmans or Trader Joe or Lidl size) and plastic newspaper bags and plastic grocery bags are always needed.
