We provided food for 421 families Monday, September 9, 2024. We expect to need food for 390 families this coming week. Donating organizations included: Leisure World Friends, St Francis, Our Lady of Mercy, Fresh Baguette, Panera, St. Bartholomew’s, St. Mary’s (Rockville), St Rose of Lima, the Amish, and Mother Seton Parish. Needs for the next 2 weeks include: Meals in a can (lasagna, ravioli, spaghetti & meatballs), mixed beans (red, black, pinto, chickpeas), pasta, pasta sauce, Mac and Cheese, vegetables (corn, mixed). We also need: Similac Blue and Similac Orange baby formula, and/or domestic or foreign equivalents/substitutes, diapers, baby wipes, Pediasure, and adult diapers/Depends. FOOD PANTRY VOLUNTEERS SOUGHT
St. Martin’s Food Pantry is seeking additional volunteers for once per month duty: Saturday morning (9:30am – 12:00pm) - food pick-up from COSTCO. Sunday afternoon (12:00pm – 4:00pm) – food sorting, shelving, and prep for distribution. A particular need is for strong-back persons able to lift heavy boxes, up to 50 lbs.
