Over the week ending with 8 April, we received approximately 3.56 tons of non-perishable food, and gave out some 3.71 tons and about the same amount of perishable food to 381 families.
Shortages for the next two distributions (projecting 410 families each week): (1) canned soup (short approximately 853 cans), (2) canned fruit (short c. 600 cans), (3) pasta (short approx. 679 boxes), (4) “meals in a can” (stew, canned pasta, chili, etc. short c. 525 cans), (5) pasta sauce (short approx. 540 bottles/ cans), (6) tuna/canned meat/canned fish (short c. 450 cans), (7) canned beans (short c. 440 cans), (8) mac&cheese (sort c.440 boxes), (9) canned vegetables, (10) dry unsweetened cereal/ oatmeal, and (11) dry rice/beans.
We also need: Nos.1, 3, 5 and 6 diapers, baby wipes, and Pediasure, as well as Ensure for adults, and adult diapers/ Depends sizes medium and large. With thanks for a recent very large donation of the same, please hold off for the time being on any donation of extra large adult diapers/Depends.
Paper grocery bags (Wegmans or Trader Joe or Lidl size) and plastic newspaper bags and plastic grocery bags are always needed.
