Over the week ending with the 4 December distribution, we received approximately 4.31 tons of non-perishable food donations, and gave out some 3.62 tons of non-perishable food and substantially more perishable food to 372 families.
Estimated shortages for the next two distributions (projecting 390 families for next week and 510 families for the 18 December Christmas distribution): (1) canned soup (short c.963 cans), (2) pasta sauce (short approx. 636 bottles/cans), (3) canned fruit (short approx. 613 cans), (4) dry rice/beans (short c.596 pounds), (5) mac & cheese (short c.500 boxes), oatmeal/cereal (short c.456 units), (6- tie) tuna/canned meat/ canned fish (short c.450 cans), (6-tie) “meals in a can” (stew, canned pasta, chili, etc. -- short c.450 cans), (8) canned beans (short c.440 cans), (9) pasta (short approx. 417 boxes), and (10) canned vegetables (short approx. 28 cans).
We also need: Similac Blue and Similac Orange baby formula, and/or domestic or foreign equivalents/substitutes. Paper grocery bags (Wegmans or Trader Joe or Lidl size) and plastic newspaper bags and plastic grocery bags are always needed.
