FOOD PANTRY REPORT/SHORTAGES FOR JANUARY 14, 2024

Over the week ending with light snow during the 15 January distribution, we received approximately 1.72 tons of nonperishable food, and gave out some 2.39 tons of non-perishable food and rather more perishable food to 245 families.


Estimated shortages for the next two distributions (projecting 380 families each week): (1) pasta (short approx. 507 boxes), (2) canned beans (short c.504 cans), (3) pasta sauce (short approx. 496 bottles/cans), (4) canned fruit (short approx. 483 cans), (5-tie) canned soup (short c.458 cans), (5-tie) canned vegetables (short some 458 cans), (7-tie) “meals in a can” (stew, canned pasta, chili, etc.) short c.383 cans, (7-tie) tuna/canned meat/ canned fish (short c.383 cans), (9) mac & cheese (short approx. 360 boxes) and (10) dry rice/beans (short c.349 pounds).


We also need: #6 diapers, baby wipes, and Pediasure. In addition, we need Ensure for adults. With thanks for a very large donation of the same, please hold off for the time being on any donation of adult diapers/Depends.


Paper grocery bags (Wegmans or Trader Joe or Lidl size) and plastic newspaper bags and plastic grocery bags are always needed.
